Dubai Announces Free Public Parking for Eid Al Fitr Holiday

As the Eid holidays 2025 started, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has declared that public parking across the city will be completely free during the Eid holiday 2025.

Dubai Free Parking

Free Parking for Eid Holidays 2025

Starting on the first day of Shawwal—the Islamic month following Ramadan—and lasting until the third day, all public parking zones (except multi-level terminals) will waive fees. This means you can park your car FREE without worrying about coins or apps while you visit family, attend prayers, or explore the city’s vibrant Eid festivities.

However, drivers should note that multi-story parking facilities will continue to charge regular rates. So, if you’re planning to park in one of these structures, keep your payment methods handy. Once the holiday ends on Shawwal 4, standard parking fees will resume across the emirate.

Plan Your Eid Al Fitr in Dubai

With free parking in Dubai, now’s the perfect time to plan your Eid activities. From fireworks displays at Yas Bay Waterfront to shopping sprees in Dubai’s world-class malls, the city is set to come alive with festive energy. The extended public transport hours announced by the RTA further making it easier to navigate Dubai’s hotspots without relying solely on your car.

For those unfamiliar with the Islamic calendar, the exact dates of Shawwal depend on the moon sighting, expected around March 29 or 30, 2025. Keep an eye on official announcements to confirm when the free parking period begins.

This isn’t the first time Dubai has offered free parking for holidays—it’s a popular perk during occasions like UAE National Day too. But for Eid Al Fitr 2025, it’s an especially welcome treat after a month of fasting and reflection. Whether you’re a local or a tourist soaking in Dubai’s multicultural charm, this initiative makes exploring the city more affordable and convenient.

So, dust off your festive attire, pack your car with Eid goodies, and hit the road without worrying about parking fees. Dubai’s latest announcement ensures that your Eid Al Fitr celebrations will be as seamless as they are memorable.
